These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Synapse Garden, Inc. (“Synapse Garden”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Synapse Garden platform, dashboard, and `/v1/*` API (together, the “Service”).
1. The Service
Synapse Garden is a governance, metering, and routing layer over the Vercel AI Gateway. We forward customer API requests to upstream LLM providers, charge a 10% markup on passthrough provider cost, and provide observability + spend controls.
2. Acceptable use
- You will not use the Service to generate content that violates any applicable law in your jurisdiction.
- You will not attempt to bypass rate limits, quota enforcement, or our anti-abuse systems.
- You will not share API keys with third parties or publish them in public repositories.
- You will comply with the upstream provider terms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) for any model you call.
3. Fees + billing
Pricing details live in our pricing page and the pricing disclosure. You authorize us to charge your payment method for subscription fees + any overage at the end of each billing period. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or per our refund policy.
4. Data + privacy
Our handling of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy. By default we do not retain prompts or completions in our request logs — only token counts, latency, and error metadata. Sub-processors are listed at /legal/subprocessors.
5. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page; your subscription remains active through the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, abuse, or non-payment.
6. Warranty disclaimer + liability cap
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify you by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance.
